as promised, my posts are back on a pretty much regular basis! :)
The other day, I visited Horseshoe Bay Village and Whitecliff Park in West Vancouver with Sophie. Metro Vancouver was covered in fog and it was almost impossible to see the North Shore Mountains from Downtown, which means loads and loads of fog! I'm serious, I've never seen so much fog in my life :D. Nevertheless, we decided to visit the Park anyways. And it was literally the best thing we could have done this day. While sitting on the bus the sky cleared up out of nothing, it was bright blue, the fog was gone and the sun was shining and I was simply stoked from all the beautiful landscape around.
Horseshoe Bay Village is a very sweet and little village with some restaurants, stores and a small harbour. But the view on the sea with the mountains is just priceless!
After having a short break we made our way to Whitecliff Park which led us through an admiring residential district. Beautiful houses, build on the cliffs above the sea with an access to a beach and the fabulous view. Once owning a house in this area would be a dream and a Sophie and I already made plans on how to find us a rich Canadian.
Just kidding! :D Those houses are simply unaffordable...unfortunately!
Whitecliff Park itself is more a big cliff which you have to climb up and which was kinda difficult because the rock was really slippery. But we've had a lot of climbing up and down. And once more, it's an amazing spot in Vancouver with a fantastic view and if you've ever get the chance you should totally go there. It became one of my favorite spots :)
Love,
Lena xx
